We'd be delighted to hear from any other pilots here in Taiwan, or anyone planning on coming here to fly.

While visiting pilots are very welcome at all sites, you should let someone know you're coming. As with all sites, there may be traps for the unwary so please ask someone to meet you and point them out. They probably know where the house thermal is too....
Many pilots have flexible working hours and would be only too happy to show you the site and maybe practice their English with you (ha ha).

Age: 21 (again) Happily married, so far. Fooling around with paragliders since 1995. Primary glider: Advance Sigma6 Rating: SHV Pilot Ambitions: Get back to flying 100hrs/year Occupation: Village Idiot

Roger Smith Age: 25. Single. Occupation: Struggling musician and TV personality. Comes from Brisbane, Australia. Glider: freeX Pure. Rating: USHPA Intermediate Ambition: Have his own variety show.

Kerry Best Age: 36. Single Occupation: Owns an ESL school in Taipei. Comes from Hell or Canada, depending on who's telling the story. Glider: UP Targa II. Rating: HPAC Intermediate Ambition: Get flying again after he broke all those bones.

Yuri Human Age: 7 going on 35. Single. Occupation: Has something to do with young children...wouldn't specify further than that. Hails from Durban, SA, resident in Taichung. Flying about four years. Glider: Apco Allegra. Ambition: Be the first to perform double-loop, then take over Mike Kung's job.

Sanford Fong Age & marital status: Classified, need to know basis. Occupation: Classified. I heard some whispers about a picket fence in Dallas, but I have no idea what it means. Hobbies: Paragliding, subversion, toppling governments and general mischief. Don't let his innocent looks fool you. Rating: USHPA Novice Glider: Gin Bolero+. Ambition: He could tell you, but then he'd have to kill you.

Jaco Herbst Age: 36, Single-but-not-for-long Occupation: Teaches children Afrikaans and English in Taiwan. Confusion reigns. On the run from ANC death squads. Glider: Wills Wing Talon, Gin Bolero, plus a couple of antiques. Rating: USHPA Intermediate (PG) Ambition: Fly to Liukuei and return.

Milvus Migrans We don't know this pilot as well as we'd like. He doesn't see fit to join us in the LZ for a beer after flying, but he's a hell of pilot. He lands in trees a lot, but he's very good at it. That glider he's got is a rocketship too, amazing performance. We don't know what he does for a living, maybe he flies for food.
